Sixty months in Hyderabad - Half an Odyssey

Exactly sixty months "ago" (just wanted to emphasize, that 1827 days & nights in the same place is a long time in a Computer grad's life), I travelled in an A/C sleeper coach for the first time in my life. It wasn't a normal moment for me when I stepped on Hyderabad railway station. Mixed emotions - having got the first job, I din't really know what work means, what salary means, what responsibility means, what colleagues mean, what project means, what client means. Fresh out of college and all I knew that time were semesters, lab work, friendship day, tea shops, samosas, bakeries, night shows and little bit of software(which I've completely unlearnt now). Stay in Green Park, dine with tollywood actress, free coffees, free fountain pepsi, sodex-ho food vouchers made me feel that I'm in seventh heaven.

Bunch of colleagues who are still my close friends meet every year on July 19th to celebrate (read console each other) yet another year's completion. And this year was no different. As usual plan for outing, bowling, long drives, etc etc, but ultimately end up going for a lunch and hog. Yes there were years when we went to Goa, once to Lonavla. But this time, we walked down next lane to the nearby restaurent and had a buffet lunch and made fun of each other for sticking with the same company for six long years. This very fact of being in the same company for six years sometimes makes me feel proud and at the same time makes me feel ashamed also, it all depends on my mood.In these 60 months, I've learnt a lot and unlearnt a lot too. Unlearnt what i learnt in college and learnt what a gentleman shoudn't learn:-) and the journey continues.....
